Know Your Numbers

When it comes to numbers, most women know their credit card number, shoe size and dress size.  But when it comes to heart health, we need to know some other numbers, too.

Take heart…

Your goals should be:

Blood pressure:  120/80

Total cholesterol:  Less than 200

LDL cholesterol:  Less than 130 or less than 100 if you have other risk factors

HDL cholesterol:  Greater than 60

Triglycerides:  Less than 150

BMI:  Less than 25

Minutes of daily exercise:  At least 30 minutes

Cigarettes per day:  Zero
